Our Team
Corey Hawtin
Corey is the founder and CEO of Avebury Equity Partners, and as a third generation real estate developer, brings a considerable breadth and depth of professional experience to the management and oversight of the company.
Corey has founded and successfully grown several affiliate construction companies including Core Development Group and Mazenga Building Group, one of Toronto’s most exclusive commercial and residential builders. Corey’s success has been driven by his passion for process driven management and value optimization of Avebury’s investments.
Corey studied at Guelph University with a major in Finance and Economics.

Laura Coward
Laura serves as General Counsel for Avebury Equity Partners. In her role she is responsible for ensuring our investments have all the proper legal protections. She is also the liaison while engaging external counsel where necessary for
various legal matters including completing and filing Trademark Applications, Shareholder Agreements, and Investor Agreements.
Laura has an LL.M.CL from University of British Columbia in addition to an LL.B from University of Kent, and a Bachelor of Management from the University of Western Ontario.

Shar Shahidi (CPA)
Shar is the VP of Finance at Avebury Equity Partners. With over a decade of experience in Finance, Shar is responsible for financial reporting, forecasting, strategic leadership and management. Shar is also actively involved in
the acquisition and investment processes undertaken by Avebury and overlooks the financial affairs of our assets under management.
Shar holds a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, and has a B.Comm. from University of Toronto.
